Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
When I was born, my parents were warlocks hiding out in the mountains of Alterac with the rest of the Frostwolf Clan. There was some big turn back towards shamanism at that exact time and my parents were considering it. I was still little when Thrall showed up and started reforming everything for good. Suddenly, we were constantly on the move and I started despising my parents for thinking about their vocation and Thrall above all else. What can I say, I was a little kid. Father tried to teach me some shamanism, but I only ever liked the frost spells and kept freezing bugs and rabbits… He always got angry at me and hit me once or twice, but then mother always hit him in return.
Then the whole move across the sea happened! The first occasion I got in Kalimdor, I ran off and got captured by quilboars. Thrall himself rescued me that day and for a short time I had a huge crush on him and actually wanted to be a shaman. I still only had talent for frost spells and the trainers were giving up on me. Finally, one day, there was an announcement that blood elves joined the Horde and are looking for mage apprentices from Kalimdor. I thought that would fit me so I signed up and when I told my parents, they freaked out. Mother said “at least it’s not a warlock”, but father said it was even worse than a warlock. So they had a fight, and that exact moment I ran off and went to Silvermoon for that apprenticeship. I later learned that mother killed father that night. Me and my mother don’t really keep in touch too often. She defended me, but she still doesn’t like my choice.
What are your character’s most prominent physical features?
Quite a few people had a choice of words about my “prominent features”, but I don’t want to repeat them here.
How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
I’m not attractive. Most races call orcs ugly, and even other orcs made fun of me, so yeah.
What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
I never tried anything with a girl. It wouldn’t even cross my mind. Although there was one female blood elf apprentice who said I would be her man… but I ran away from her.
Describe your character’s happiest memory.
I was very happy when Thrall rescued me from those quilboars. But then, there was this creepy grunt with Thrall who later kept visiting me and offered my father to trade me for a couple of pigs, so I’m not sure. But father killed that grunt for that proposition, so maybe.
Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Once, a son of one of Durotan’s former lieutenants said he wanted to date me. I went where he wanted me to go… but it was just a cruel prank and I was humiliated. So that.
What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
Strawberry.
Blue.
I am covertly a fan of the Chieftains. So maybe Rogues Do… the one about rogues, you know.
Mana thistle.
Who does your character trust?
Despite my fallout with my parents, I would trust my mother with my life. She never did anything with real malice. Just things we disagreed about. And even my father, because I could count on him to defend me.
Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
I think when I got to be lady Ver’sarn’s apprentice my life finally got on the right track. I finally put myself to study and stopped caring about other… stuff.
Is there an animal you equate with your character?
Frostwolves, I suppose. Fierce, independent, don’t wait for anyone.
How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
I tried using that gnomecorder that many people here use, but it just couldn’t stick. It’s so weird to concentrate on those tiny little buttons to write any sort of message.
What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
I try to keep things in order.
How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
I’m a mage now, so I can just cast wards to protect myself.
Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
“Early morning bird” I suppose.
Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones?
I don’t remember any distant blood relatives. I think there was an aunt called Garona, who hooked up with Gul’dan, before he went all destroyer of worlds, but my family didn’t keep track of her, even when they were warlocks.
What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
My public desk I always keep well organized. I don’t want people to think I’m a slob.
Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
I can roast boar meat well enough to feed myself, but I prefer when others cook for me.
What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
Riding a mount across the landscape, with the wind in your hair.
Does your character have any irrational fears?
I have a very rational fear of people who try to flirt with me. They always want something.
What would your character’s cutie mark be?
Wolf head.
If your character could time travel, where would they go?
I did actually time travel once, and I liked it there. I spent some time with the past (alternate?) Frostwolves in Frostfire Ridge. It was nice there. Whenever I get some free time, I’d like to return there for some vacation.
Is your character superstitious?
It’s not superstitions! It’s called faith! Look it up some time!
What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Someone smart and funny, and maybe not too ugly. But I’m not looking.
Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
Normal. Just… normal.
Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
Does it have to be food?
My parents would say pride, because I only listened to my own opinions.
This frostslinger outfit I got from the past Frostwolves.
Coffee, no competition.
Winter. Call me crazy, but in the snow I feel like I’m in my element.
Hard to pick, but maybe Harvest Festival. I like the various foods from various corners of Azeroth that people show off.
Describe your character’s fighting style.
When there’s too many enemies, I freeze some of them and keep shooting as many spells as I can at the rest. Ring of Frost might be my favorite.
If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
A boring documentary about orcs living outside of their culture.
How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
Just your basic perfume to mask the daily sweat.
If your character could contact him/herself 20 years ago, what would she/he say?
Listen to your parents slightly more often.
