Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

My father was a jade warlord named Yu Hye. Since my earliest days, I was raised as his son and heir. I had only one brother, Yu Wok, who did not survive to adulthood. I also had two sisters, Yu Eunah and Yu Joo, who were married off to other lords. I think I can safely say my father always loved me and cared for me. He taught me everything I needed to know as a lord and as a man, and I’m deeply grateful for that. But he didn’t spoil me – oh no, his training regime could be quite rigorous. Titans bless his soul for making me who I am.
My mother was Jae Kyung, a daughter of a warrior from the heartlands… what you now call Vale of Eternal Blossoms. She was a strong woman and although my parents were sometimes at odds due to my father’s amorous adventures, I deeply respected her. She survived well into my rule and loved her granddaughters. I hope she can’t see what happened to me later.

What are your character’s most prominent physical features?

I have the strong jaw of a true Yu. And I suppose, unlike most mogu today, I’m not in the slightest stone-like. Unless I want to, ladies. winks Sorry, that was horrible.

Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?

One? Okay, I got this large scar across the left side of my chest from Lei Shen. It kinda looks like just some discoloration now, but it was pretty ugly back in the day. When we fought, he lashed with this lightning-whip of his and it left this nasty burn-cut. In time, it healed but it still looks pretty rad if I want to show off scars. And that I got it from what most call a “god” and lived to tell about it is a bonus too.

How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?

I think I’m attractive. Back in my days, I could have any women I wanted. But really I wanted just one. And I got her. You know, even these days… I had Gretta after all. So I think I still got it.

What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?

How to say it to not offend anyone… I’m a red-blooded male, and I’m not interested in other guys in the slightest.

Describe your character’s happiest memory.

After thinking for a while, I think I’ll have to choose seeing Yaochi crowned. My daughters didn’t get to see their lives fulfilled, and Yaochi was almost like a daughter to me, so it was the next best thing.

Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?

My loss to Lei Shen, of course. Everything would have been so different. Even history.

What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

I rarely allow myself sweets like ice cream, but I suppose I like standard chocolate flavour.
Green. Stereotypical, I now, but here it is.
There was a song about some old hero… like, really old song. It was already old fifteen thousand years ago. Damn, I forgot how it went. I really liked it.
Flowers are all the same to me.

Who does your character trust?

I think I can trust Menrim and Ballough, and Vikoka I think. They earned their trust by fighting on my side.

Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.

Oh boy, where to start? One, getting married. Two, becoming the jade warlord after my father’s death. Three, Yu Hwan’s betrayal and Lei Shen’s victory, which led to my curse. Four, being found by Yaochi and being given a new sense in life. I suppose that’s all. Yeah, I have a job here but I’m not feeling like it’s a particularly important part of my life. This business will dissipate in time, and I will still be around for thousands of years afterwards.

Is there an animal you equate with your character?

chuckles Turtle! It’s gotta be turtle.

How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?

I can send tweets, and take a picture or two but don’t call for me when you need tech support!

What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

I don’t sleep. When the turtle is active, I’m in a kind-of sleep-like state, and when I’m active, the turtle is dormant. So I never really need to sleep.

How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?

Very little phases me at all after all these years.

Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?

I’m up pretty much twenty four hours a day. Although me-me is active only during the nights. Not that I have any choice about it.

Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?

Everyone in my family is dead. I have friends here, but I wouldn’t call them family.

What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?

I like to keep things in order. I don’t have a lot of stuff to order around, but what I do have, I like having it neat.

Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)

I’m not a cook whatsoever. I can hunt down a raptor and roast it over a fireplace, but that’s where my skills end.

What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?

Walking, or riding my yak. Portals and teleporting are convenient, sure, but I’m just not used to that unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Does your character have any irrational fears?

I don’t really fear anything. Of course, everyone fears death and so on, but I don’t have… phobias, or anything.

What would your character’s  cutie mark be?

Oh, I have no idea. I don’t watch children’s stories. Maybe make it a turtle.

If your character could time travel, where would they go?

Anywhere during the lifetime of Yu Hwan, so I can shove a spear so far up his ass, it would come out of his mouth. Any time of his life would do. Before his betrayal, when he was the jade warlord, when he was turned to stone along with the Monkey King… any of those times.

Is your character superstitious?

Not really. I only believe in things I can see.
What is it? Religion? You said superstitious, you didn’t say anything about religion. Don’t you stomp on my religion, bro.

What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

I think Oh Soon was pretty much ideal. Clever, strong, pretty, good in bed… I miss her.

Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

I think the proper term is “calloused”. Just strong and show their work, you know.

Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Sednaq made these awesome sweet rolls not so long ago. I would love more of those.
Vices are never good.
I’m not particularly picky when it comes to fashion. I just put on what’s best.
Does beer count as a hot drink? A proper mogu beer, not the stuff pandaren drink. If alcohol doesn’t count, make it Baifeng Tea.
Summer. People look generally happier then.
Darkmoon Faire. People play a lot of cool games, and everyone looks happy. Almost everyone.

Describe your character’s fighting style.

Not to say too much, lest my enemies read this, but I generally open up with my cannon. I use special, magical cannonballs for it too. If that’s not enough to kill them, I pull my polearm and hack them to pieces.

If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?

It’s not a movie, but there’s already a story about me. The pandaren call it The Princess and the Turtle. Go look it up.

How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

When I was just wandering around, I didn’t bother to wear perfume. But now that I’m spending some time with people, I have some perfume from Ironforge. I once had something from Quel’thalas but even the men’s perfumes from there smelled like a woman.

If your character could contact him/herself 20 years ago, what would she/he say?

To me 20 years ago would be pointless. To me when I was twenty… I suppose I would warn myself about Yu Hwan and the coming rise of Lei Shen.
